The Royal Docks’ cultural programme is back; Join the Docks autumn season will take place online and across London’s historic Royal Docks between October and December 2020. Creative innovation underpins this year’s programme, which has been carefully curated to celebrate and champion the Royal Docks as well as showcase and support the incredibly rich and diverse creative talent in the area.
With 20 original works, which includes live and digital theatre, light installations, photography exhibitions, film, performances through to music and dance workshops, community archiving, heritage projects and more – this is a programme to surprise and inspire audiences that should not be missed.
The autumn line-up includes:
Artist Marcus Lyall will unveil his interactive installation, ‘Presence’ in a building in Royal Docks. Lyall often uses animated light, images and lasers to transform under-used spaces. Enjoy it from a distance or via webstream.
‘ARGH! Mateys’, presented by the University College London, which will use digital portholes to take the public on an augmented reality-led journey of discovery as they walk around the Royal Docks.
‘Unfamiliar to Us’ by Unfamiliar, an autobiographical experimental film about queer families, based on stage performance ‘Unfamiliar.’
