Meet Yoga Teacher Jenny and Fitness Instructor Evelyn, both relatively new ‘Islanders’, who have bonded through sharing their seemingly ‘polar’ practices – yoga and strength training (as well as their love of brunch!); early on they realised the benefits that each practice could deliver and how they in fact complemented each other. Out of their love for different disciplines grew the name ‘Balance + Glo Wellness Retreats’ – the exciting opportunity to offer people a balanced approach to fitness, food and wellbeing plus make the most of what the island has to offer in terms of activities and showcasing local produce and businesses.
As the days get colder and darker everyone needs a little motivation to get going and there isn’t a better time or way to encourage this. Imagine a candlelit yoga session complete with underfloor heating, then nourishing the body with delicious food and getting cozy in the snug, taking time to relax. The next day take a fitness session with Evelyn and a guided winter walk along the coast before settling down to a warming delicious and nutritious meal.

Jenny has been practising yoga for over 10 years and is a qualified +200 hr Yoga Alliance teacher with experience in hatha, vinyasa and hot yoga. Jenny believes that yoga adds a little bit of magic to your life and as part of a balanced lifestyle yoga can contribute to you living well and being happy.
Evelyn is CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, 1-2-1, and group fitness coach. She loves to lift weights and challenge her body in new ways. She is known for her love of fancy legging (the brighter the better), and porridge (it’s all about the toppings!). If you can’t find Evelyn at the gym, she is often in the kitchen creating new recipes.
