Escape to the Chateau with Bayliss and Booth

Angel and Dick Strawbridge’s Chateau de la Motte Husson is the inspiration for Angel’s fabulous new collections of fabrics and wallpapers now available at Bayliss & Booth.

The Chateau featured on Channel 4’s Escape to the Chateau series which documented the couple’s sometimes frustrating but successful transformation  of this vast property and Angel discovered wallpaper offcuts from various designs in the attic, which had been used in the Chateau over the centuries. These offcuts inspired her Wallpaper Museum Collection whilst Dick’s cottage garden was the inspiration for The Potager Collection.

These designs as well as Oriental Garden, Heron and Deco collections will be available as not only fabrics by the metre, but as lampshades, ready-made curtains, cushions, wallpapers and bedding at Bayliss & Booth on the Isle of Wight. Carole Lambert and the team at Bayliss & Booth felt a huge synergy with these French collections as the interiors shop’s heritage has a rich history of French furniture and interior design style and this collection will consolidate an already extensive selection of fabrics from designers including Linwood, Ian Mankin, Voyage Maison and Thevenon.
